growing together
Sometimes it seems so simple to make little habit changes in the name of self-care. But, often we’d rather not do it alone. It can help to know others are working towards the same goals and to have a community to support you.
If you are interested in learning about some basic Ayurvedic practices in a small group, fill out the form below to request a six week timeline.
As of right now, these classes will not be recorded. Please choose an option that will allow you to attend most, if not all, six consecutive Tuesdays at 6pm.
trust the process
I’m not going to pretend there are any secrets to self-care.
Ayurveda does provide alternative approaches, but in the end, it’s not far from what you already know. All I am here to do is give you a new perspective and provide a container for us to grow together. We will mostly focus on simply observing our current habits with love and compassion. We will let ourselves make mistakes as we shift into new practices. We will trust the process.
Can you do this on your own? Absolutely!
…but it’s much more fun when we do it together. <3
Journaling
This is the only “requirement” for the group. You must keep a journal throughout the course, though how you write in it is completely up to you (and will only be seen by you!). It may not seem like much, but taking note of how you feel can be one of the most powerful ways to transform your life.
Breath
If we want to connect and build trust with our bodies, the breath is where we learn how to listen. This class will focus on meditative breathing practices to de-clutter and re-center the mind. We will make a little more space in our bodies and minds (and hopefully, hearts!) while keeping ourselves grounded in breath.
Sleep Quality
It can be hard to do anything, let alone make changes, when we aren’t getting enough sleep. I will review some Ayurvedic practices that can potentially improve sleep quality. However, we will continue to refine what works for you and fits into your individual lifestyle throughout the course.
Movement
Although I will guide you through simple yoga postures in some of the classes, this class will focus on listening to your own body. We will explore ways for you to engage in movement at home. This may involve more walks, morning yoga, or dance parties—it’s entirely up to you and your body.
Digestion
Ayurveda revolves entirely around the digestive system and how we process all we consume. We will not review doshic diets (or any diet), but we will discuss the Ayurvedic wisdom around how to improve digestion so we can not only nourish the body, but also learn how to trust our gut.
Hydration
I know you know to drink your water. However, there’s more to hydration than H2O, especially in Ayurveda. We will review some self-care practices to nourish the body with oil, specifically for our bodies and our hair. This is not just an act of self-care, but an act of self-love.
